Camp Stoves Sold Exclusively at Dick’s Sporting Goods Recalled Due to Burn Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: “Field & Stream” Dual Burner Camp Stoves
Units: About 6,700
Importer: Dick’s Sporting Goods, of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Manufacturer: Rankam Group Ltd., of China
Hazard: Gas could flow at a rate that would produce higher than expected flames. Rainwater in the burners can also prevent proper ignition and allow gas to build-up and ignite unexpectedly. These conditions pose burn hazards to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: This recall involves the “Field & Stream” dual burner camp stove, which is a propane-fueled portable stove. The style number (#CEH00475) can be located on the product’s packaging. The “Field & Stream” logo is on the back panel of the stove behind the burners.
Sold at: Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide and on the firm’s Web site from January 2008 to October 2008 for between $100 and $120.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the camp stoves immediately, and contact Dick’s Sporting Goods to receive a free repair kit.

Golfer’s Billiard Games Recalled by Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firms named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Golfer’s Billiard Games
Units: About 2,300
Distributor/Retailer: Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc., of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Golf Galaxy Inc., of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Manufacturer: Golf Gifts and Gallery, of Powers Lake, Wisc.
Hazard: Surface paints on the golf balls can contain excess levels of lead.
Incidents/Injuries: None.
Description and Models: The recalled golfer’s billiard game includes 15 golf balls (with exterior paint and design to resemble a billiard ball) and six putting cups. The recall involves the Acuity Golfer’s Billiard Game, Style #AC302, and the Clubhouse Golfer’s Billiard Game, Style #302. The name and style number are located on the product’s packaging.
Sold at: The Acuity model was sold at Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide from October 2008 to December 2008 for about $30. The Clubhouse model was sold at Golf Galaxy stores nationwide and on its Web site from May 2008 to December 2008 for about $30.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the product immediately and return it to the store where purchased for a full refund.
